Get to Know Us

Our Story

The story of our practice really is the collective story of the generations of patients who have placed their trust in us and our predecessors. Our group has always stood upon the shoulders of giants. Approximately 40 years ago, the first patients were welcomed into the practices of Dr. Donald Shuen on Fraser Street, Dr. Joyce Ling in Chinatown, and Dr. Ernie Schmidt on West 10th Avenue. Many of those individuals and their families are still authoring chapters in our story today at our current locations on West Broadway and at University Village.

Over the years, we have been blessed with so many additions to our professional family in terms of team members, colleagues, new technologies, and most importantly, patients. Most recently, we are excited to welcome our first in-house specialists to our group. Both Board-Certified Prosthodontists, Dr. Collin Shuen and Dr. Lucie Yin are the latest to continue the legacy of excellence that Pacific Spirit Dental Centre has become known for.
